The day before, the Minister of Education and Science, Pavlo Polyanskyi, held another meeting with book publishers and experts regarding the implementation of a new textbook selection scheme.

The following stages were defined as the priority tasks for the implementation of the project: development of an electronic portal, which will host textbook layouts for free choice by the teacher; creation of an independent expert agency for examination of textbooks, after the conclusion of which the textbook will be posted on the portal; as well as - development of changes to normative documents, sanitary norms and rules, etc.

In order to implement the specified stages, three working groups were formed, which should submit their first findings in two weeks.

The scheme for access to the resource, placement of textbook layouts on the portal, teacher ordering of the textbook and feedback should be proposed by the depository development group.

The working group on the development of the structure of the independent expert agency will work on its functions, criteria for selecting experts for its composition, and examination criteria.

Amendments to sanitary norms and rules for textbooks will be developed by the third working group.
