From November, academic and social scholarships of Ukrainian students will increase by 18% - the relevant decision was adopted on November 8, 2017, during the Government meeting.

"We worked diligently to support the student body and found a solution. I want to announce good news to the students. As of November 1, we are making a decision to increase academic and social scholarships by 18%," said Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman.

The amount of scholarships per month will be:

Academic scholarship:

For vocational training students - UAH 490;

For university students of the I-II level of accreditation studying for a junior specialist or bachelor's degree: ordinary - 980 UAH, advanced - 1250 UAH;

For students of universities of III-IV level of accreditation, scientific institutions, studying for a bachelor's, specialist's or master's degree: ordinary - 1300 UAH (for special achievements - 1892 UAH), increased (for science and mathematics pedagogical specialties and other mathematical, natural science and engineering specialties) - UAH 1,660 (for special successes - UAH 2,416).

Social scholarship:

For orphans and children deprived of parental care, persons from their number, as well as those who were left without parents during the period of study at the age of 18-23, in vocational schools - UAH 1,180, in universities - UAH 2,360;

For other persons who have the relevant benefits, in vocational schools - UAH 450, in universities I-II r.a. 890 hryvnias, 1180 hryvnias at universities III-IV of the Russian Federation, scientific institutions.

Academic scholarship of the President of Ukraine:

For vocational training students - UAH 1,420;

For students of universities of the I-II level of accreditation - UAH 2130;

For students of universities of the III-IV level of accreditation, scientific institutions - UAH 2,720.

Named and academic scholarships of the Cabinet of Ministers:

For vocational training students - UAH 1,180;

For university students of I-II accreditation level - 1900 hryvnias;

For students of universities of the III-IV level of accreditation, scientific institutions - UAH 2,480.

Scholarship of the President of Ukraine to participants and prize winners of international student Olympiads:

Participants - UAH 2,600;

Prize winners - UAH 2,950.

The scholarship of the President of Ukraine for the winners of the All-Ukrainian student Olympiads and the defense contest for members of the National Academy of Sciences - UAH 2,600.

Scholarship of the Cabinet of Ministers to the winners of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in Ukrainian language and literature - UAH 2,360

Scholarship named after Taras Shevchenko - UAH 2,720

Scholarship of the President of Ukraine for winners of international language competitions named after Petr Yatsyk and Taras Shevchenko:

For vocational training students - UAH 1,420

For students, cadets of universities of the I-II level of accreditation - UAH 1,770

For students, cadets of universities of the III-IV level of accreditation - UAH 2,600.
