The Ministry of Education and Science initiates legislative changes aimed at increasing the prestige of the work of teachers in the field of extracurricular education.

This was reported by acting Minister of Education Serhii Shkarlet.

According to him, the adoption of changes to a number of government regulations will contribute to increasing the level of remuneration for extracurricular workers and provide a tool for extracurricular education institutions to strengthen their financial capacity.

In particular, the changes proposed by the Ministry of Education provide for an increase in the duration of the vacation of teachers in the field of extracurricular education to 56 days, an increase in the tariff categories of teachers in the field of extracurricular education, and an expansion of the financial autonomy of institutions of extracurricular education.

In addition, it is planned to expand the list of paid services that can be provided by educational institutions, other institutions and institutions of the education system belonging to the state and communal forms of ownership.
