When developing curricula and working curricula for the 2015-2016 academic year, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine recommends to ensure the teaching of disciplines that form competences in the history and culture of Ukraine, philosophy, and the Ukrainian language with a total volume of at least 12 ECTS credits, if the relevant disciplines are not are profiled.

It should be noted that now higher educational institutions have the right to independently determine the forms and methods of teaching these subjects, and students can choose disciplines from the list proposed by the educational institution.

Also, universities should create conditions for studying English as the language of international academic communication, in order for university graduates to achieve B2 level in accordance with the All-European recommendations on language education.
