The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, with the support of the operator "Intertelecom", acted as a partner in conducting student Olympiads in information technologies in 17 regions of the country.

More than 1,500 high school students who won in the district olympiads took part in the regional stage of the IT olympiads.

With the support of the Institute of Innovative Technologies and the Content of Education, the company "Intertelecom" held a ceremony awarding the winners - finalists of the All-Ukrainian competition.

In the course of the project, informative seminars on the development of information technologies in Ukraine were also held. High school students got acquainted with the unique technologies for the provision of third-generation communication services, which are being implemented in Ukraine.

Olena Artemenko, head of the Department of Out-of-school Education Content of the Institute of Innovative Technologies and Content of Education, commented on the results of the IT Olympiads: "The goal of the student Olympiads is to develop the intellectual and creative potential of gifted youth, to provide them with support in self-realization. The future of our country depends on what we invest in the younger generation now. It is gratifying that representatives of the business sector do not remain aloof from educating and encouraging talented students.
