On the morning of July 21, 2017, entrants submitted 1 million 194 thousand 628 applications for all educational and qualification levels - junior specialist, bachelor's and master's. Such information is provided by the administrator of the EDEBO - SE Inforesurs.
Also, entrants have currently registered 151,481 electronic cabinets - this is 80% more than the number predicted by the Ministry of Education and Culture this year. Through these electronic offices, 684 thousand 116 applications for admission to higher education institutions were submitted.
"The data is fully correlated with similar figures from last year's introductory campaign for the same dates. And this is taking into account the fact that last year entrants had the opportunity to submit a larger number of applications and that this year applications for the educational and qualification level of a specialist are not accepted. In addition, this year the number of potential entrants has decreased by approximately 20,000, i.e. those who took the external examination," said Oleg Sharov, director of the higher education department of the Ministry of Education and Culture.
Traditionally, the top three in terms of the number of submitted applications remain:
– Kyiv National University named after Taras Shevchenko (41488)
– Ivan Franko Lviv National University (32721)
- National Technical University of Ukraine "Ihor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute" (27150)
The Lviv Polytechnic (25819) climbed to the fourth place, followed immediately by the Yuri Fedkovich Chernivtsi National University (21288).
The National Aviation University (18556) also improved its position, which is catching up with the Kharkiv National University named after V.N. Karazina (18364) and Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics (18175).
On the ninth step is the National Pedagogical University named after M.P. Drahomanov (16,320), and Vadym Hetman Kyiv National University of Economics (16,262) closes the top ten, which has currently "pushed" Oles Honchar DNU out of the ranking.
Each entrant can track his ranking among other entrants in the "Competition" system on the website www.vstup.info. In addition, in the electronic office, the applicant can track the entire movement of his applications - from acceptance by the educational institution to enrollment.
