On August 1, 2016, during the meeting of the Public Council under the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the leadership of the council was elected.

Yevhen Kudryavets, ex-deputy chairman of the Public Council under the Ministry (2014-2016), became the head of the Public Council under the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Science of Ukraine. The candidacy of Yevhen Kudryavets was supported by the majority - 33 votes of members of the Civic Council.

As Yevhen Kudryavets noted, the council will work in this composition for two years, and called on its members to decide on a specific goal in their activities, as well as to report on its implementation. Thus, each representative of the Civic Council will be assigned a direction around which the leaders of public opinion and experts will rally. "Only then the opinion of each member of the council under the Ministry will become the opinion of the general public, everyone's work will be motivated, and the decision of the members of the Public Council will become more weighty," Yevhen Kudryavets emphasized.

During the meeting, the members of the council elected Vladyslav Shelokov, the first deputy chairman of the Public Council under the Ministry of Education and Culture, the head of the NGO "Modern World of Youth" by a majority of their votes. The secretary of the Public Council under the Ministry of Education and Culture became the director of the "Charitable Foundation for Science and Education named after H.S. Pans" Mykhailo Zuev.

Council members also approved the Regulations on the Public Council under the Ministry of Education and Culture of Ukraine and discussed its structure. Decisions on these issues will be published in the minutes of the meeting.

It should be noted that 34 of its 35 approved members took part in the meeting of the Public Council (Order of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Science of 12.07.2016 No. 823).
