The Public Council under the Ministry of Education and Science invites public discussion of the concept of secondary school reform. This is stated in the message of the public council on Facebook.

Educators, parents, representatives of the public, authorities and mass media are invited to participate in the discussion.

"Each of us is interested in the processes of reforming the educational sector and, to a certain extent, wants to be involved in its development. The draft law "On Education" has been finalized, approved by the Committee on Science and Education of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and has already been submitted for consideration by the Verkhovna Rada. The issue of the next package of documents and ways of implementation is becoming very urgent," the message states.

The Public Council under the Ministry of Education informs that during the second National (un)conference for school teachers EdCamp Ukraine 2016, a strategic session was held at which the vision of the new school was discussed. The council also notes that many other structures are forming their vision of child development and education.

"That is why the Public Council under the Ministry of Education and Science takes the initiative to form new approaches to the system of public discussions and search for consensus," the message says.

The discussion of the concept of secondary school reform will take place on May 12.
