President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko signed the Law "On Amendments to Certain Laws of Ukraine Regarding Strengthening Social Protection of Persons Living in Temporarily Occupied Territories and Settlements on the Line of Contact."

The document is aimed at strengthening state support for education in state and communal educational institutions for the appropriate category of people living in temporarily occupied territories and in settlements on the contact line.

Support will be provided within the framework of the state target program and will include a set of measures. In particular, full or partial payment of tuition, free provision of textbooks, scholarship provision, free provision of accommodation in hostels or other. The Cabinet of Ministers will determine the number of such measures and the conditions for their provision.

It is assumed that such state guarantees will serve as additional levers in the formation of a pro-Ukrainian position among young people living in these territories and will contribute to their social adaptation.
