The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine recommends higher education institutions to organize distance learning for students from China and Southeast Asian countries. The recommendation applies to those students who are currently not in the territory of Ukraine or cannot come to Ukraine due to the outbreak of the coronavirus epidemic.
According to the Minister of Education Hanna Novosad, the goal of the Ministry of Education and Culture is to take into account all the circumstances related to the situation surrounding the coronavirus.
According to the recommendation of the Ministry of Education, by February 10, higher education institutions should inform all their students from China and Southeast Asian countries about the possibility of distance learning and give them the opportunity to take the relevant exams after the normalization of the situation surrounding the coronavirus.
Currently, Ukraine has not recorded a single laboratory-confirmed case of the new coronavirus infection. Relevant services, including the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the State Border Guard Service, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Infrastructure, are in a state of increased readiness.
