In the future, mandatory passing of physical culture and sports standards TRP (Ready for Work and Defense), which were widespread in Soviet times, may be returned to Ukraine. This information was reported by the Minister of Youth and Sports Ihor Zhdanov.
"When I took office, I set myself the task of reviving these norms. Of course, already on a new basis. Now we are finalizing them and will implement them for the students of our schools," he said.
According to the minister, the need to return such standards of physical training is related to the poor health of Ukrainian children who, growing up and entering the ranks of the Armed Forces, are unable to perform elementary exercises.
"We will revive these norms, these standards. We will think about how to name them," the Minister of Youth and Sports said.
