According to the draft law "On Education" it is possible to create parents' committees as bodies of public supervision in pre-school, after-school and general education institutions.
Parental committees will be able to evaluate the work of the head and the activities of the educational institution, as well as participate in the defined strategies of the institution's development, monitor the implementation of the budget, and promote the attraction of additional sources of funding.
The influence of the public association of parents will be quite significant, because they will be part of the competitive commission for the election of the school director.
The draft law provides for the introduction of a new structure of education levels, namely: preschool, primary, basic secondary, specialized secondary education, the first basic level of professional education, the second higher level of professional education, the primary level (short cycle) of higher education, the first bachelor’s level of higher education, the second master's level of higher education, third educational and scientific level of higher education (PhD), scientific level of higher education.
