The Verkhovna Rada adopted in general the draft law on certain issues of the end of the academic year, which provides for the exemption of graduates of complete secondary education from the mandatory state final attestation in the form of an external examination.
298 People's Deputies voted for the corresponding draft law during an extraordinary session of the Parliament.
The adopted law establishes that students who complete general secondary education this year will be exempted from passing the state final certification due to the implementation of measures aimed at preventing the emergence and spread of the coronavirus disease.
At the same time, students who are completing a full general secondary education will have the right to pass the DPA, including in the form of an external examination, at their own request.
At the same time, for applicants who plan to enter higher education institutions, the external examination will be held within the established time limits in accordance with the established testing regulations.
Earlier, the Ministry of Education and Science exempted 4th and 9th graders from taking school exams.
