The decision to cancel the state final certification of students of the 4th and 9th grades was made with the aim of achieving equal conditions for all schoolchildren in the country.

Minister of Education Serhiy Shkarlet stated this during a speech in the parliament, answering a question from People's Deputy Nataliya Pipa.

"DPA in the 4th and 9th grades has really been canceled in order to put on equal terms those children who studied remotely in the "red" zones, and who today did not have the opportunity to study in a full-time mode," said the minister.

He also expressed his belief that the current school control results are an alternative to the state final certification today.

At the same time, the minister did not agree with the results of sociological studies, which indicate that 72% respondents believe that the introduction of distance learning tools and methods has partially or significantly reduced the quality of school education.

"And regarding the assessment of the quality of any distance learning system. Every quarter, the State Education Quality Service conducts monitoring, and there is no confirmation of the figures regarding the failed distance education system," answered Skarlet.

At the same time, he stated that now in Ukraine there are several tools for providing training.

"For this, several tools were implemented to level students' knowledge. Today, the All-Ukrainian online school allows you to ensure the learning process not only in school, but also remotely," said Minister of Education Serhiy Shkarlet.

As you know, the Ministry of Education has exempted students who are completing the 4th and 9th grades this year from passing the state final certification. The corresponding order was signed by the Minister of Education on March 3.
