The Ministry of Education and Science has introduced a pilot project of free preparatory courses for entrants from the temporarily occupied territories.
Enrollment for courses has already begun, training will take place in face-to-face, mixed or distance learning.
The project will be implemented on the basis of nine Ukrainian universities: Donetsk National Technical University, Zhytomyr State University named after Frank, Luhansk National University named after Shevchenko, Mariupol State University, National Pedagogical University named after Drahomanov, National Technical University "Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute", East Ukrainian National University named after Dalya, Tavri National University named after Vernadskyi and Kherson State University.
According to the Minister of Education Serhiy Shkarlet, these universities are home to educational centers "Donbass-Ukraine" and "Crimea-Ukraine", which will help entrants from the temporarily occupied territories to submit the necessary documents for training in preparatory courses.
Institutions of higher education should contribute to providing students of preparatory courses with places in the dormitory for the period of study.
Training in preparatory courses will last from February to May 2021 (120 hours), and from October 2021 to May 2022 - 8 months (240-480 hours).
