Applicants of candidate or doctor of science degrees will be able to defend their work and receive the corresponding diplomas by May 15, 2021.

The corresponding order was signed in at. Minister of Education and Science Serhiy Skarlet.

In particular, the Ministry of Education and Science has extended the validity of all available specialized academic councils.

The corresponding decision was preceded by amendments to the Law "On Higher Education", adopted on June 4, 2020.

On July 15, 2020, the Cabinet of Ministers allowed specialized academic councils to hold meetings via video link.
