In Kyiv, due to influenza and SARS, the educational process was completely suspended in 11 schools and partially in 14. According to the KMDA, in the 3rd week of 2019, doctors recorded 14,653 patients with influenza and SARS (13,067 fell ill in the previous week).

Over the past week, 162 people were hospitalized, including 127 children, and in total, among all the infected, children make up more than 57%.

In general, the intensity of the epidemic process is at a level typical for this period of the year. Currently, the incidence rate is 494.5 (for the previous week, 441.3) and is below the epidemic threshold by 42.2%. In general, there is an increase in the incidence of influenza and SARS by 12.1% in the capital, the institution's website says.

The Ministry of Health has not yet released all-Ukrainian data for the third week of the year.
