The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine has approved a typical educational program of specialized secondary education of educational institutions that train junior specialists on the basis of basic secondary education. The corresponding order was signed by the Minister of Education Liliya Hrynevych.
The educational program determines the total volume and structure of the educational load, the expected learning outcomes of students, the proposed content of individual subjects, recommended forms of organization of the educational process and tools of the internal system of ensuring the quality of education, as well as requirements for persons who can start studying under the educational program.
The document determines that the total amount of study load for students of the I-II courses in the part of specialized secondary education will be 2,660 hours.
The maximum weekly load of students of the I-II courses in the part of specialized secondary education will be 30 hours.
Educational institutions are offered two options for the list of basic subjects.
The first option contains a list of basic subjects with experimental integrated courses: "History: Ukraine and the world", "Natural sciences".
The second option contains a list of basic subjects, which includes individual subjects of social and humanitarian and mathematical and natural science cycles.
At the same time, when compiling programs and curricula, lists of individual subjects from both proposed options can be combined.
Educational institutions can make decisions about the formation and use of integrated courses depending on the study profile, personnel potential and material base.
The number of hours for studying basic subjects can be increased at the expense of additional hours.
The implementation of the content of education, defined by the State Standard, is also provided by elective and mandatory subjects: "Informatics", "Technology", "Art". Educational institutions can independently choose two subjects from this list and determine the distribution of hours between them.
Part of the training hours in both proposed options is intended to provide specialized training, which is an integral part of the training of a junior specialist.
The content of the study profile is realized by a system of separate subjects and courses: basic and optional-compulsory subjects, profile subjects, special courses, including optional courses.
The term of obtaining a complete general secondary education by those who have obtained the educational and qualification level of a junior specialist, who enrolled in studies on the basis of a basic general secondary education, will be equal to two years.
Heads of educational institutions that train junior specialists on the basis of basic general secondary education must ensure the transition to curricula based on the Standard Educational Program no later than the 2019/20 academic year.
After completing the study of subjects of general education, the final state certification of students will be conducted in the form of an external independent assessment.
