During the meeting of the working group, Yevhen Sulima published the results of monitoring the state of development of industry standards of higher IT education. Among the main problems confirmed by the monitoring, the First Deputy Minister identified the provision of enterprises in this sector of the economy with a sufficient number of qualified specialists, which affects the development of the field of information and communication technologies.

According to him, despite the existing network of training of IT specialists in Ukrainian higher educational institutions, there is a serious problem related to detachment from the real needs for the development of the field of information and communication technologies, which increases the gap between educational programs and the needs of the field of information and communication technologies . In order to improve the quality of IT education, the ministry, according to E. Sulima, plans to define stricter requirements for licensing educational services in the field of information technologies, which will make it possible to narrow the network of higher education institutions training relevant specialists and the number of training areas.
