The Ministry of Education and Culture of Ukraine reminds that diplomas and other educational documents issued in the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions and Crimean Autonomous Republic are not recognized and have no legal force either in Ukraine or in other countries of the world.
The Ministry provides the corresponding clarification in response to numerous appeals from citizens on this matter. At the same time, it should be noted that students who began their studies before 2014 in higher education institutions of Ukraine in the occupied Donetsk and Luhansk regions can continue their studies at any higher education institution in Ukraine.
Students who studied after February 20, 2014 in the system of higher education in the temporarily occupied territory of the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol can undergo attestation at Ukrainian universities to recognize the acquired qualifications, study results and study periods.
Also, the Ministry of Education and Culture reminds that entrants from the occupied territories of Donbass and Crimea, who want to get a Ukrainian education, can enter relocated or authorized institutions of higher education according to a simplified procedure. For this purpose, educational centers will operate on the basis of these universities - it is planned that they will work from June 19 to September 30 this year.
