The students of the pilot classes will study according to the LEGO method, which is planned to be extended to all schools from 2018, and the trainers of The LEGO Foundation will be involved in the retraining of teachers who will take the first class of NUSH in 2018.

This was agreed the other day by the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine, Liliya Hrynyvych, and the CEO of The LEGO Foundation, John Goodwin.

Thus, in the second half of the year, 100 schools that are currently piloting the new standard of primary education will receive Six Bricks sets. Every child in experimental classes should be provided with them.

According to John Goodwin, "Six Bricks" is a learning technology that will help students train memory, develop motor skills and think creatively. Through the game, they will be able to learn such important skills as provided by NUS, such as problem solving.

"We are very interested in cooperation, because we really want to change our school and approach to education. First of all, this concerns the primary school, from which the reform will begin in the next academic year and children will enter the first grade of the New Ukrainian School. We need to provide her with new equipment and new methods, in particular, learning through play, which she implements in her LEGO projects," said Liliya Hrynevych.

She also emphasized that at the same time as providing methods, it is equally important to teach teachers how to use them - how and when to work with them, what they are aimed at. John Goodwin agreed to involve their trainers in such training. Yes, appropriate trainings will be held for teachers of pilot schools by the end of this year.
