Thus, KNU submitted 58,851 applications from 27,112 entrants, KPI - 50,226 applications from 20,952 entrants, LNU - 48,937 applications from 22,790 entrants.
"This rating shows that, despite popular opinion, many applicants choose not only metropolitan universities, but also regional ones - in Lviv, Chernivtsi, Kharkiv. Moreover, we are not observing this trend for the first year. For example, Kamianets-Podilskyi National University was ranked in the Top 10 last year, and Oles Honchar State University always has a good position," said Oleg Sharov, director of the higher education department.
The Lviv Polytechnic was on the fourth step of the TOP-10 - it received almost 43,500 applications. More than 20,500 entrants expressed their desire to study at this university.
Almost the same number of applications were submitted to the Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics (34,520) and the National Aviation University (34,336). These universities selected 17,206 and 18,698 entrants, respectively.
Next in the rating is the National Pedagogical University named after M.P. Drahomanov (28,522 applications from 15,933 applicants), Chernivtsi National University named after Yuriy Fedkovich (27,633 applications from 13,257 applicants) and Kharkiv National University named after V.N. Karazina (26,697 applications from 14,440 entrants).
Kyiv National University of Economics named after TOP-10 closes. Vadym Hetman. He received slightly more than 24,000 applications from 13,531 entrants.
