The day before, children's rest camps with a day stay on the basis of educational institutions of Kyiv started their work. By June 23, 75 such camps and another 140 language camps will be open in the capital, which will provide a meaningful rest to more than 18,000 children. This was announced by the Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration for Humanitarian Affairs, Hanna Starostenko.
"The main goal of pre-school camps, which start working from today, is to organize everything so that every child finds something to his liking, feels comfortable, spiritually enriched, and his stay is safe. Therefore, various groups, concerts, sports games and competitions, cultural events, excursions to museums, study of foreign languages in language classes are planned for free time," said Hanna Starostenko.
According to her, about 6,000 junior high school students have already planned to rest in pre-school camps. The duration of rest in the camp is 18 working days, and its cost, including meals, is 38 hryvnias per day.
"On a free basis, children in need of special social attention and support can rest in the camp: orphans, children deprived of parental care, children with special educational needs who study in special and inclusive classes, students from families of ATO participants and children with the families of the dead participants of the anti-terrorist operation", - informed the deputy head of the KMDA.
Hanna Starostenko added that from May 30, 140 summer language camps will also start working, of which 24 will be with speakers of foreign languages. In general, about 12,000 schoolchildren will improve their foreign language skills in the language camps.
