The Ministry obliged the publishers to provide, in addition to the paper version, an electronic version as well. This was announced by the Minister of Education Liliya Hrynevych on the air of the ZIK TV channel.
According to the minister, textbook publishers were very resistant to this innovation, but from now on they are obliged to provide an electronic version as well. "All new textbooks for the ninth grade will be available for download at state expense," said Liliya Hrynevych.
Regarding other classes, such contracts were not concluded before, although, according to the minister, there are electronic versions. "In many publishing houses, they are available on their websites for free, and in some - for a small fee," the Minister of Education and Science noted.
Currently, the ministry intends to transfer all electronic versions to a single resource - both those that were previously and those that are being purchased now. "So that parents didn't have to search on different websites of publishers, and all versions of electronic textbooks were compiled in one place," explained Liliya Hrynevych.
The minister also promised to replace all old textbooks. "They will definitely change: with the new standard - new textbooks," Hrynevych emphasized.
