In 2017, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine plans to assess the state of medical education in Ukraine. This is stated in the letter of Acting of the Minister of Health Ulyana Suprun, addressed to rectors of higher medical educational institutions of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
It is planned that the assessment of the state of medical education will be carried out in comparison with international standards, in particular American ones, based on the results of an external assessment of the quality of training of future doctors in Ukraine.
The Testing Center at the Ministry of Health of Ukraine is responsible for providing methodical and organizational support and conducting an external evaluation of the quality of training of future doctors in Ukraine, as well as presenting the analysis of the obtained results to the Ministry of Health.
Rectors of higher medical educational institutions of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine are instructed to inform students and interns about the assessment and ensure their participation in testing.
The Minister of Health must be personally informed about the results of the assessment of the state of medical education in Ukraine in comparison with international standards.
