President Petro Poroshenko signed Law No. 940-VIII "On Amendments to Certain Laws of Ukraine Regarding the Free Provision of Textbooks to Students of General Educational Institutions and Pedagogical Workers", adopted by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on January 26.
The document stipulates that "the state guarantees free provision of textbooks, manuals for students of general educational institutions and teaching staff in accordance with the procedure established by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine."
The law will contribute to improving the organization of the educational process, ensuring social protection of school-age students, their parents, and teaching staff, as well as creating appropriate conditions for obtaining high-quality secondary education.
