Today, Ukraine is celebrating Independence Day — a holiday that unites us around our most important values: freedom, dignity, unity and the right to determine our own future.

In these difficult times for our country, we are acutely aware of the true value of independence. It lives on in the courage of our defenders, in the daily labour of millions of Ukrainians, in our mutual support and in our unwavering desire to see Ukraine free, strong and successful.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who is defending our country, working for its development and bringing us closer to our shared Victory. It is thanks to the resilience, sense of responsibility and unity of each and every one of us that Ukraine continues to move forward.

We wish peace for our towns and families, strength and inspiration, prosperity, confidence in the future, and the fulfilment of our most cherished shared dream — to live in a free, independent and prosperous Ukraine.
