We have two models of higher education reform. They are completely opposite.
The first model is to reduce our weak higher education institutions, rename specialist master's degrees and grant higher education institutions broader rights, as well as replenish our higher education institutions with those applicants who will remain after the more or less intelligent school graduates go to Europe in the summer.
Why does this happen? The answer is quite simple - there is no such deadly-terrible-incomprehensible extracurricular, there is no sickening corruption, but there are only prospects to get a European education, which in most cases is free and of better quality.
The second model is the one followed by countries that want to quickly rise to the top and reverse the downward trend in their level of education. They are not going for restrictive measures at higher education institutions, as we do... Not for strengthening the requirements for their national external examinations... Not for mandatory payment... But quite the opposite.
These countries invite the world's best universities to create their branches on the most favorable terms for them.
"Here I came from the Emirates. There, New York University is opening its branch with 150 places, and already 150,000 people have signed up. I was recently in Albania. Branches of Italian, British, French, American, and Canadian universities are growing there like mushrooms. It is lovely to look at these happy students, having been there in the classrooms and laboratories. We didn't dream of such a thing," Volodymyr Spivakovsky emphasized.
Also, after visiting these educational institutions, he noted that everything is done there for the development and realization of the opportunities of pupils and students, and work in them is comfortable and fruitful.
According to him, the reduction of 200 higher education institutions is not the only panacea for all problems in Ukrainian education. Additionally, instead of closed universities, you can open, for example, 10 western branches, this step is quite simple and quick.
