The government plans to change approaches to adaptive quarantine, and along with them, the organization of the educational process.
This was reported by Olha Koval, a member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Education, Science and Innovation, based on the results of the meeting of the specialized committee, which was attended by Acting Minister of Education Serhii Shkarlet and Chief Sanitary Doctor Viktor Lyashko.
According to her, the final decision on the organization of training will be made at the next meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.
Depending on the epidemic situation, Ukraine will be divided into zones: "green", "yellow", "orange" and "red". These can be individual districts or cities of regional significance.
The educational process in educational institutions will be prohibited only in the "red" zone. A corresponding zoning map has already been developed and will be officially launched soon.
The final decision regarding the terms of closing educational institutions for quarantine has not yet been adopted. Currently, 14 or 7 days are most likely.
In the "green", "yellow", "orange" zones, schools will work as usual.
In addition, the Cabinet of Ministers plans that the academic year in Ukraine will begin in accordance with one of three scenarios:
- low level of morbidity, visits to educational institutions are allowed as usual;
– high morbidity rate, the educational process is provided completely remotely;
- average level of morbidity: the educational process is provided in a mixed form - remotely and in educational institutions, with appropriate distancing and hygiene measures.
"Currently, the Cabinet of Ministers considers the third scenario to be the most likely," Olha Koval notes.
According to the conditions of the implementation of a mixed form of education, the organization of the educational process will be based on social distancing, avoiding large gatherings of people, dividing the flow of schoolchildren, conducting classes in the fresh air, conducting meetings of pedagogues in a remote form, canceling mass events and excursions, using combined education, etc.
Also, according to the people's deputy, weekly testing of employees of educational institutions, given the negative international experience, is currently not considered by the government as an effective option for combating the disease.
