The Ministry of Education and Science offers to transfer students of grades 5-11, students of vocational education institutions, and students of professional pre-higher and higher education institutions to distance learning.
This is stated in the notification of the Ministry of Education and Science.
The department notes that the transfer to distance learning is an additional measure to the already established quarantine restrictions.
"In addition to the established quarantine measures, taking into account the increase in morbidity rates and the decisions of the regional commissions of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Health, the joint recommendations of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Health provide for the introduction of additional restrictions at the "yellow" and "orange" levels of epidemic danger," the Ministry of Education notes.
According to the Minister of Education Serhiy Shkarlet, additional restrictions should be applied in case of exceeding the epidemic thresholds for influenza and SARS or an increase in cases of COVID-19.
"First of all, these restrictions should be applied in administrative-territorial units where the epidemic thresholds for influenza and SARS have been exceeded, as well as where a significant increase in the number of cases of the coronavirus disease has been recorded," says Skarlet.
He also informed that after consultations with the Minister of Health and the Chief State Sanitary Doctor of Ukraine, the Ministry of Education and Culture advises to extend school holidays if necessary.
"I ask educators and parents to take such measures with understanding. They are forced and aimed at preserving the health of representatives of teaching staff, members of schoolchildren's families, especially those who are at risk of disease," said the Minister of Education and Science.
