The Ministry of Education and Science has developed a draft order that defines the conditions for the state final certification of schoolchildren who receive primary, basic and full general secondary education in the 2020/21 academic year.
The corresponding draft of the document is submitted for public discussion, which will last until October 12.
In particular, the draft order defines the list of subjects from which students of 4th, 9th and 11th grades will take school exams this school year, as well as the form of state certification.
As in previous years, students of the 4th and 9th grades will write the state final certification in their schools.
DPA of school graduates will traditionally take place in the form of an external independent assessment.
DPA of 4th grade students in the 2020/21 academic year (list of subjects)
State final certification of students who complete primary education is conducted in the educational institution in written form.
- Ukrainian language (evaluation of Ukrainian language and reading results).
- Math.
- The language of a national minority or the language of an indigenous people (in classes with teaching or studying the language of a national minority or an indigenous people based on the application of one of the parents or legal representatives by decision of the pedagogical council of the educational institution, approved by the order of the head of the educational institution).
DPA of 9th grade students in the 2020/21 academic year (list of subjects)
State final certification of students who complete basic education is conducted in the educational institution in written form.
- Ukrainian language.
- Math.
- One of the subjects from the list (according to the decision of the pedagogical council of the educational institution, approved by the order of the head of the educational institution):
1) biology, world history, geography, foreign literature, foreign language (English, Spanish, German or French according to the educational program of the educational institution), computer science, history of Ukraine, basics of jurisprudence, Ukrainian literature, physics, chemistry - for students of classes with studies in the Ukrainian language, in which the language of a national minority or an indigenous people is not studied;
2) biology, world history, geography, literature, foreign language (English, Spanish, German or French according to the educational program of the educational institution), computer science, integrated course "Literature", history of Ukraine, language of the national minority, language of the indigenous people, basics jurisprudence, Ukrainian literature, physics, chemistry - for students of classes studying or learning the language of a national minority.
DPA of 11th grade students in the 2020/21 academic year (list of subjects)
State final attestation of students who complete full general secondary education (specialized secondary education) is conducted in the form of an external independent assessment.
- Ukrainian language.
- Math.
- History of Ukraine or a foreign language (English, Spanish, German or French*) (at the student's choice**).
- One of the subjects from the list: history of Ukraine, foreign language (English, Spanish, German or French*), biology, geography, physics, chemistry (at the choice of the student***).
- Language of a national minority or indigenous people****.
* According to the educational program of the educational institution.
** Students who have chosen the history of Ukraine as their third subject for the state final certification can choose a foreign language as their fourth subject and vice versa. Students who have chosen one of the foreign languages as their third subject can choose another foreign language as their fourth subject.
*** Students who, in accordance with the educational program of the educational institution, studied the subject "Natural Sciences" can choose one of the following subjects: biology, geography, physics, chemistry.
**** For students who are completing general secondary education in the languages of national minorities or indigenous peoples (on the basis of an application by one of the parents or other legal representatives and by the decision of the pedagogical council).
