The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine allowed applicants to submit applications for admission to higher educational institutions in paper form, if their previous education documents and identity documents show different surnames.
This is stated in the official letter of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine to the heads of higher educational institutions signed by the First Deputy Minister of Education and Science Inna Sovsun.
Such a decision was made by the Ministry of Education in connection with numerous appeals from applicants who, due to the discrepancy in the surnames in the documents, had difficulties with the correct registration of the application for admission to the higher education institution.
"This year, for the first time, admission to the Bachelor's program is almost entirely online using an electronic system. We decided to support applicants who, due to different life circumstances, have different surnames in their documents, and to allow them to submit applications in paper form. This decision was made because the electronic system does not contain data on persons who have changed their surnames, so we cannot correlate this information with the documents," explains Inna Sovsun.
We would like to remind you that the Ministry of Education and Culture has an advisory telephone line. If the applicant faces difficulties when submitting electronic applications for admission, he can ask for help by phone: (044)-481-32-15; 068-951-25-13.
For calls from Crimea and temporarily uncontrolled territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions: 050-550-54-11; 0 800 504 425.
Advice lines are open during the introductory campaign on working days from 9:00 to 18:00.
