According to Deputy Minister of Education Pavlo Polyanskyi, the Ministry of Education and Science plans to change the format of the state final certification in the future to external independent assessment.

According to the project of the concept of education development for the period 2015-2025, the transition to external independent assessment is foreseen in elementary and basic schools.

It should be noted that in 2015 school graduates will take a combined test in Ukrainian language and literature, the results of which will be taken into account both as a state final certification in this subject and as an external independent assessment, in case the graduate continues his studies at a higher educational institution.

For the convenience of school graduates, they will be able to choose the level of taking tests independently, guided by the entrance requirements of the desired higher educational institutions.
