In August 2016, the city authorities plan to put into operation two schools and three preschool educational institutions, which are being built with the funds of the city budget. This was announced by the Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration, Oleksandr Spasybko, during the inspection of the reconstruction of secondary school No. 140 in the Svyatoshyn district and the construction of a kindergarten in the Holosiiv district of the capital.
"Construction of a kindergarten is underway at Nauky Avenue, 63-A in Holosiivskyi district. Already on September 1, 2016, children will study here. According to the Department of Education and Science, Youth and Sports, there is not a single kindergarten in the neighborhood, so the construction of such an educational institution is extremely necessary. According to the main technical and economic indicators, the construction of a 3-story preschool is planned, designed for 6 groups, which is approximately 120 children. The kindergarten will be equipped with a swimming pool, an assembly hall and a sports hall, and all the necessary economic support will be provided so that children can start their studies with all the comforts," Oleksandr Spasibko said.
"The second launch complex with a total area of 5,925 square meters. m is designed for 400 students. In the summer of 2016, all works will be completed, and on September 1, the children will go to a completely renovated school," Oleksandr Spasibko emphasized.
By the end of 2016, the city authorities plan to open four preschool educational institutions in the Darnytsky district of Kyiv alone. This was announced by the Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration, Hanna Starostenko.
"Since Darnytskyi district has almost the highest population density in Kyiv and is the most crowded with children of preschool age, we pay the most attention to it. Therefore, by September 1, we plan to complete the construction of the kindergarten, which has been ongoing since 1993, and to build three completely new institutions. The total capacity of all kindergartens will be about 800 places," she said.
Hanna Starostenko noted that one kindergarten is being built at the expense of the city budget and three at the expense of developers: "But after the completion of construction, all of them will be transferred to the communal property of the city."
The deputy head of the KMDA also assured that these preschools will meet not only building regulations, but also modern requirements.
"When building new educational institutions, we require compliance with the necessary standards, including the introduction of energy-saving technologies, the creation of a barrier-free space, comfortable conditions for children, as well as the use of safe building materials," Hanna Starostenko stressed.
As of today, the construction of 11 educational institutions in the capital has not been completed. "Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko insists that all unfinished works in the capital be completed. Since we are talking about educational institutions, we strive to preserve all the facilities," she said.
"In the Program of Economic and Social Development of the City of Kyiv for 2016, UAH 1.15 million is provided for the development of design and estimate documentation, and after the examination, a decision will be made regarding the final cost of reconstruction. However, we are confident that we will be able to open it on September 1, 2017," Hanna Starostenko stressed.
