The Ministry of Education and Science announced the beginning of the public discussion of the draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine "On approval of the Procedure for the implementation of the right to academic mobility."

In accordance with the draft document, a unified procedure for organizing academic mobility programs for participants in the educational process of higher educational institutions of Ukraine on the territory of Ukraine and abroad is established.

The document defines that academic mobility is the right of participants in the educational process to study, teach, do internships or conduct scientific activities, etc., in another higher educational institution on the territory of Ukraine or outside its borders.

According to the document, the main types of academic mobility will be internal academic mobility (in higher education institutions of Ukraine), international academic mobility (in higher education institutions outside Ukraine), group academic mobility (a group of participants in the educational process at partner higher education institutions), individual academic mobility (individual order participants in the educational process at partner universities) and proactive academic mobility (implementation of individual educational, academic and research programs, within the framework of domestic and foreign state programs and projects, etc.).

The opportunity to participate in academic mobility programs will be available to students of the educational levels of junior bachelor and bachelor (starting from the second year), specialist, master, persons who obtain scientific degrees of doctor of philosophy (candidate of science) or doctor of science, scientific and pedagogical, scientific and pedagogical workers

Academic mobility for students of higher educational institutions includes the following forms: studying under student exchange programs at a partner higher educational institution, studying under joint educational programs, language and scientific internships, educational (research, industrial) practice, participation in summer schools, participation in conferences , seminars, etc.

Forms of academic mobility for persons who obtain scientific degrees of doctor of philosophy (candidate of science) or doctor of science, scientific-pedagogical, scientific and pedagogical workers are: participation in seminars, scientific schools and conferences, etc.; participation in joint projects; participation in educational activities of the host country; studying the experience of the host country; establishment of partnership relations, etc.

Funding of participants in the educational process, who implement projects in the field of academic mobility in partner higher educational institutions, will be carried out at the expense of international funds, institutions, organizations, individuals or legal entities in accordance with the agreements between the participants of academic mobility.

The draft regulation also provides for other features of participation in academic mobility programs in Ukraine and abroad.
