The Polish-American Freedom Fund and the Education for Democracy Fund have announced an open competition for Scholarships named after Lane Kirkland in the 2015/2016 school year.
Young people with higher education who are interested in the development of democracy, economy and civil society in their countries and in the region can take part in the Program. The implementation of the program takes place within the framework of two-semester studies in higher educational institutions of the Republic of Poland and 2-4 weeks of professional internships in state or private institutions and organizations.
Training will take place in the following specialties:
- – economics and management;
- – administration / management (business, NGOs, culture, environmental protection, health care, education);
- – public administration (bodies of state power and self-government);
- - law;
- – social sciences (social psychology, sociology);
- – political science and international relations;
- - development policy and humanitarian aid.
The Kirkland program is addressed to representatives of the following professional groups:
- – experts, politicians, employees of state authorities and self-government bodies;
- – entrepreneurs, managers;
- - leaders of non-governmental organizations, cultural figures and public figures;
- - university teachers;
- - journalists.
