The International Championship of Computer Talents "Golden Byte - 2016" is taking place for the 7th year in a row, the purpose of which is to stimulate the development of the IT industry in Ukraine and support the projects of talented young people. "Golden Byte" is a non-commercial project in which participation is free for everyone.
The partners of the championship are the leaders of the global IT industry: Microsoft, Autodesk, Dell. Intel, international companies Intersystems, Infopulse, Imperious Group, as well as leading Ukrainian IT companies. The regional semi-finals of the championship will be held on the basis of the Lviv branch of the SHAG Computer Academy.
Over the course of six years, more than 6,000 projects from about 3,000 participants from such countries as Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Estonia, Georgia, Moldova and many others were presented to the competent jury. The championship is held throughout Ukraine, in particular in Kyiv, Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, Lviv, Vinnytsia, Mykolaiv, Poltava, Rivne, Mariupol, Chernihiv, Lutsk, as well as in Astana, Minsk, and Tallinn. More than 10,000 contestants are expected to participate.
The qualifying (correspondence) stage of the Championship takes place from November 1, 2015 to January 31, 2016, the regional final of the "Golden Byte" in Lviv will be held in February 2016, and the final of the International Championship will be held in April 2016 in Kyiv
