The "BILAT - UKR*AINA" project has launched a competition for grants for Ukrainian scientists who plan to participate in the selection for participation in the "Horizon 2020" program. This year, 4 priority areas of the program have been identified: New materials and technologies, Information and communication technologies, Biotechnologies, Aeronautics.
In accordance with the policy of the program, grants are also provided in other thematic areas. Each submitted proposal is considered on an individual competitive basis.
A total of 10 grants will be provided for the travel of Ukrainian scientists to EU countries in order to participate in activities for the preparation of project proposals.
The main conditions for participation in the competition are the presence of an official invitation from the head of the consortium to the Ukrainian scientist (team) to participate in the project, as well as an expert opinion on the possibility of open publication of submitted materials from the institution at the place of work of the Ukrainian participant.
Applications for travel grants are accepted until March 16, 2015.

Note that the Horizon 2020 program was created in 2014 by the European Union. Horizon 2020 is an EU research and innovation program. The purpose of the program is to strengthen Europe's competitiveness in the global dimension, its economic growth and the creation of new jobs. It will last until 2020. The total budget of the program will be about 70 billion euros.
