Textbooks for the course "Civic education" (integrated course, standard level)" for the 10th grade will undergo additional examination. This decision was made in connection with reports received by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine regarding the inconsistency of the content of these textbooks with the Constitution and Laws of Ukraine.

As you know, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine cannot make individual decisions regarding the appropriateness of the content of textbooks - this is the task of the expert community, whose representatives have the appropriate professional level.

Current models of textbooks for the 10th grade from the "Civic Education" course, which are currently being prepared for printing at state expense, were selected by teachers and passed appropriate examinations. However, a preliminary review of the complaints shows that there are indeed reasons to believe that the relevant textbooks contain inconsistencies with the Constitution and Laws of Ukraine.

That is why the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine decided to assemble an expanded expert group that will consider the relevant complaints and will be able to provide professional recommendations on changing the content. Since the circulation of the textbooks has not been finalized and the printing has not yet started, any corrections can be made to the layouts.
