The Ministry of Justice is launching an information campaign to combat bullying.
This was reported by the Deputy Minister of Justice Valeria Kolomiets.
According to her, bullying is quite widespread in educational institutions all over the world, in particular, in Ukraine.
"Among the topics on which events are requested to be held in educational institutions, the most requested is precisely bullying, in all its forms. Our goal is to help victims of bullying and explain why you should not hide the facts of bullying and where to turn for help," said Kolomiets.
She also emphasized that systematic bullying, humiliating treatment, insults and other types of psychological violence by both children and teachers are unacceptable and require an appropriate response.
In addition, she informed that if a parent or a child needs legal assistance, it can be obtained in the Telegram or Viber messengers, use the mobile application "Free Legal Assistance" by downloading it through Google Play or the App Store using the link, download the mobile application "Your Right » or call the toll-free number 0 800 213 103.
The Ministry of Justice reminds that for bullying a participant in the educational process, as a result of which damage was caused to the mental or physical health of the victim, administrative responsibility occurs, which provides for the imposition of a fine of fifty to one hundred tax-free minimum incomes of citizens or public works for a period of twenty up to forty hours.
In the case when bullying was committed by children under the age of 16, the parents of the bullies are brought to justice.
